Best Products for Blondie~

Blonde is back!  Summer is nearing, the weather is warm, and hair is going light, light, lighter!  Keeping blonde hair healthy takes a little bit of work, but the result is silky, shiny and soft.  Here are a few of my favorite products for the blonde babes…

The road to blonde bliss starts in the shower.  A couple of times a week a violet based shampoo and conditioner are great to keep the “brassiness” or yellow tint out of the hair.  I recommend Pureology Perfect for Platinum shampoo and conditioner.  Its 100% Vegan, free of sulfates, and is made specifically for high lift and chemically treated hair.  I also recommend Keratin Complex Blondeshell shampoo and conditioner.  The keratin will soften and smooth out the frizz while protecting your color from fading with the botanical camomile complex.

Because chemically blonde hair is usually more dry and fragile, deep conditioning is an absolute must.  Once a week take an extra 10 minutes in the shower to replenish and hydrate your hair.  For blondes in particular, I like Redken Perfect Platinum.  Again, it reduces brassiness and seals the hair on a deeper level than a regular conditioner.

Before blowdrying a light oil is ideal to protect the hair from the heat of the bowdryer and flat-iron.  Keratin Complex Enhance Brightening Oil is great.  The keratin smooths the cuticle of the hair, and gives it amazing shine.  This is a new product from Keratin Complex and I’m excited to try the deep conditioner as well.

Finally, the final polish is a shine spray.  I use Moroccan Oil Glimmer Shine Spray.  Whats great about this product is not only does it have the amazing scent of the original argon oil, it offers UV protectant creating a barrier from free-radicals, chlorine, salt water and duh, the sun.  This is a must have for your beach bag this summer.

What products do you use to keep your blonde hair bright?
